Obair nan Ceallan - Cells at workImage: Human cells

This series of four National Geographic research books – Obair nan Ceallan –  explains the difference between different types of cells: skin, muscle, blood and bone.

While each book focuses on a different type of cell and how it works in the body, the same key concepts are developed across the books to help students focus on the big ideas.

The theme explores how healthy cells do specific jobs in the human body to keep it alive.

Students use the specific content and vocabulary within each book to discuss and examine these big ideas, or key concepts.

The books were created primarily for use at the second level in the primary school.
